
The Dayton Regional STEM Center is partnering with the National Science Teacher Association (NSTA) and the Department of Defense STEM to bring a new, free training opportunity to K-5 teachers. Teachers will be working with other STEM educators to incorporate STEM into their classrooms using trade books (literature) as well as learning together to become an active member of STEM organizations. Cohorts of teachers will attend a series of virtual, weekend training sessions and engage with STEM mentors. The cohorts of teachers will create integrated STEM resources that will be published on NSTA’s website.
Participants that successfully complete the program will receive complimentary membership to NSTA and three other partner organization, as well as books/resources for their classroom and a $500 stipend. Interested in learning more? Contact Beth Allen, NSTA President.
